Our mission is to help families with children at home navigate the immediate aftermath of immigration enforcement with dignity, compassion, and care. Through practical assistance and emotional support, we work to lessen trauma, preserve stability, and ensure that critical needs are met when families are least able to meet them themselves.
How Family Bridge Support Operates
A support team of three to four people provides considered, practical and emotional support to families with children who are left behind after immigration operations. The team meets regularly with the mother to assess immediate and ongoing family’s needs, which may include coordinating emergency food (including pet food) and essentials for children, arranging transportation, connecting her with immigration legal services, helping set up phone credit to maintain contact with the detainee, and assisting with urgent bills, rent, or small household repairs.
